Video Game Design

Just this title alone stirs up so much excitement in so many people it is just amazing.

​I initially started off my Technology career teaching Multimedia and later Computer Animation. I populated the Animation classes with students under the premise of learning skills to create Video games. Lets face it Computer Animation doesn't necessarily have the same appeal to young people as Video Games do. Not to be untruthful, most everything that you learn in Animation class is directly transferable to Video game design except for working in an actual Video game design Engine. Later on in my career we actually started a Video Game Programming and Design class. The effect of which was immediately felt.  My Animation classes enrollment took a nose dive and Video Game Programming and Design classes numbers swelled.

​Most students that signed up for my Video game Design classes strangely could not fathom the notion that we were going to build games not just sit around every day playing games.

In this section you are NOT undergoing a "Bait and Switch" policy. You will be learning to make Video Games!!! But I will be presenting this information to you from a well rounded approach. 

You are going to get a little bit of everything in my approach... The Video game Design world is made up of many career paths; 3D Modelers, Animators, Riggers, Texture artists, Programmers, Level designers, Beta testers, and so much more.
